Maures Massif

The 150 000 ha of oaks and chestnut trees of the Maures Massif cover nearly a quarter of the department. From the top, you’ll find some great views on the Var coast and the Golden Islands facing the peninsula of Giens. At the heart of the massif, you can visit a few famous villages, like Collobrières, for its chestnut delicacies, or Le Plan de la Tour and La Garde Freinet.
